Drunk Driving

Drunk Driving is a huge problem today. People are killed all the time by drunk drivers and the drivers often survive. We need to somehow reduce drunk driving and try to save lives. Here a drunk driver drove against traffic and was stopped by a brave cop: http://jalopnik.com/#!5762024/cop-prevents-drunk-driving-crash-by-crashing-into-drunk-driver

CST #2

The family is the most important part of society, they are the back bone of the economy. The government should realize this and assist families who need financial aid. Something as simple as a raise will improve a family's life alot. Producers should stop trying to control consumers.

-isms

I was surprised to learn about how many -isms there are. I see isms in different forms everyday. Isms are wrong because they categorize people and can dicriminate certain groups. We should not view people differently by race, income, religion, etc. We should treat them the same.

Malnutrition

It is unjust how people in other nations get less amounts of nutritions than we do. They either dont get enough of something or get to much of something and it is disproportionate. The US should do more to help end Malnutrition in areas like Africa and Afghanistan. Malnutrition is the gravest single threat to the world's public health.

Egypt Crisis

The government in Egypt is suppressing the people. The people want change and a new form of government. They need help to get change. The US should help them establish a new democratic government and avoid a war. If the US interferes than a larger scale war could be prevented.

Poverty

There is a huge number of homeless in America and the unemployment percentage is large. The government has to step up and get more Americans working to help get people off the streets and to work. Doing this will improve our nation's economy and people's lives

CST #1

In America convicts can be sentenced to death. This can be wrong because once it is done there is no going back. If someone is executed then found not-guilty it is too late and a life was lost. People should only be executed if it is known for sure that they are guilty and are worthy of capital punishment.

The Death Penalty

The Church has accepted the idea of a government executing a prisoner for his/her actions. They are for the idea, however, that people should only die a natural death. If someone is executed there is no going back, no reform, and if the person is proven innocent it is too late.

The Fattening of America

The justice issue is obesity in America. Prices for food in America are very low, which attracts buyers. These low priced foods are very unhealthy and are harming America. People in poverty cannot get their hands on such food. It is unjust how America is fed this unhealthy food with an attractive price and how people in poor countries cannot get this food.

Ghosts of Rwanda by Alex Sahyoun

I thought it was wrong how the UN did not do that much to help out in Rwanda. They did not send more troops. The US just ignored it and did not consider it a genocide. It was injust how no one wanted to help in Rwanda.

Water by Alex Sahyoun

The big companies that want to privatize water should at least let the people vote on it. Privatizing water has only brought civil uprisings and will just increase water costs. Poor people wont be able to obtain a basic need like water. No one owns water.

Prison Injustice By Alex Sahyoun

Its wrong how Vincent Simmons did not get a fair and just trial. He was not provided with an attorney and could not afford one, so he was left to defend himself. The parol board said he was guilting without any evidence and he never had his case heard.
